Alveoloplasty

Alveoloplasty is a minor surgical procedure that removes irregularities on the alveolar ridge, which are often resulting from previous or current tooth or teeth extractions.

This procedure is done, typically at the time of extraction, to ensure the proper and smooth healing of the extraction socket(s). However, it can also be done at a later time, preprosthetically, to ensure the residual ridge is uniform in shape to support future prosthesis.
