Alveoloplasty

Alveoloplasty is a minor surgical procedure aimed to remove irregularities on the alveolar ridge, such as those were resulting from tooth or teeth extractions.

This procedure is done, usually at the time of extraction, to ensure the proper and smooth healing of the extraction socket(s). It can also be done, preprosthetically, to ensure the residual ridge is uniform in shape to support future prosthesis.
