Ridge Preservation
When a residual dental ridge, the bony process where tooth or teeth have been missing for quite some time, is too thin or short to allow for the proper placement of dental implant-support restoration, bone augmentation is necessary.
The type of bone grafting materials come from different sources:
- The patient’s own bone – Autograft,
- Cadaver – Allograft,
- Animals – Xenograft,
- Synthetic – Alloplast
Rest asure that all type of bone materials we used are from reputable manufactures in the USA, which follow strict guidelines from the FDA as far patients’ safety and risk of disease transmission are concerned. Dr. Nguyen will discuss and get patient’s approval on the type of material use, prior to making the selection.
